Mr. Willie "Colonel" King, age 69, of Winder, Georgia died June 3, 2012. He was preceded by his wife, Florence King and parents, Luther and Sallie Mae King. Mr. King attended Midway Christian Church and was a heavy equipment operator with Republic Services.

Surviving are Son, Steven King of Winder, Siblings, Larry King of Athens, Robert King, Clyde King, Barbara Cole, Shirley Sleeper, Louise Wiley, Annette Kennedy, Annie Krieger and Cora Mae Wilkins all of Winder, Susie Nichols of Jefferson.

A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 P. M., Tuesday, June 5, 2012 from the Chapel of Carter Funeral Home with Rev. Hal Tapp officiating. Interment will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, June 4, 2012 from 5-8 P. M. at the funeral home.
