Mrs. Nina Mae Vega, age 67 of Auburn, Georgia entered into eternity on April 4, 2018. A native of Jellico, Tennessee, she was a daughter of the late Elmer and Offie Ball Alsip. She was preceded by a sister, Betty Hill and a son, Scott Cox. Mrs. Vega had resided in Auburn for the past three years and was a former resident of Doraville, Georgia. She was of the Baptist Denomination.

Surviving are husband, Jesus Vega of Auburn, Georgia, Children, Joe (Sherry) Cox of Auburn, Georgia, Elizabeth (Heather) Harvey of Auburn, Georgia, Richard Hamby of Speedwell, Tennessee, Daughter-in-law, Lisa Cox of Whitley City, Kentucky, Two Sisters, Joyce Cox and Linda Cox both of Williamsburg, Kentucky, Nine Grandchildren, a number of Great Grandchildren, Two Grandchildren that she helped rear, Felicia and Maegen Osores and God Children, Cassaundra and Nathaniel Hernandez.

The Family will receive friends Friday, April 6, 2018 from 6:00 P. M. until 9:00 P. M. at Carter Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will be held Saturday, April 7, 2018 at 12 Noon from the Chapel of Carter Funeral Home with Rev. Darrell Bryant officiating. Interment will be in the Auburn Cemetery.
