Condolence & Memory Journal

My heart goes out to Michaels whole family, very sorry to hear about his passing. He was a good guy who always seemed to make me laugh and had a great heart. Michael went out of his way to help me out when I needed it, and I was always thankful to him for that. He will most certainly be missed and his whole family are in my prayers.

While I only knew Michael from phone conversations, I could tell he was a passionate, caring, individual. My thoughts and prayers go out to you all during this time.

My heart is aching for my family, especially Ragan and her kids. Michael loved his wife and children so much. And my sweet sister and brother in law, you should never have to bury your child. I have no words to express my pain for all that are left to mourn him. There is only comfort in knowing he is with our Lord. I love you all, my family.

When we heard the news that Michael went to sleep in death we couldn't believe it. We were so glad that we took the opportunity to come and visit just this past October to see the family. Michael was a very encouraging person and though our son's didn't know him that well just being around him in those few hours, he made an impression because when we left all Kaleb and Aaron kept saying was how cool Michael was. I remember Michael coming in big Stephanie's room and taunting me and Steph. All of us playing and trying to drown each other in the pool. I also remember when Michael brought Ragan to the house and how his face lit up when he looked at her. We will pray every day that the pain for everybody will subside and we know Michael is ok because he is just sleeping until Jesus comes to resurrect him. We love everyone and so sorry we won't be able to make it out but know that you are in our thoughts and prayers every day.

All the times Larry and I saw Michael out in the front yard helping Madison practice her pitching told me early on that he was a devoted father. At various neighborhood get togethers we were both impressed by Michael's warmth and obvious devotion to Rainey and his children. When working with him to get our landscape lighting installed at the front of the subdivision, he was always excited to tell me in detail about the process and how it was proceeding, describing with pride the quality of the lighting he had gotten for us. When he shared with us that one of his family's dogs had become very ill and how close Carsyn was to this dog, his sadness and his caring was immensely moving. We will miss his presence in our neighborhood and mourn with his family his untimely passing.

Blessed are those who mourn: for they shall be comforted.
~ Matthew 5:4

God is love, so many of us love you all, therefore God is with you as we love on you.

This is my prayer for each member of Michael's family. I pray for your comfort during this journey of grief. We can't make it better, We can't fast forward you to a better place and time, but we can stand beside you in prayer and strength in these times when you have neither.

Where do I start?? My heart aches for the family that is going through this aweful tradegy. I wish I could take all the pain away and bring this man back to his wife, kids, parents, sisters and friends. It's just not right the way he was taken away. I will keep each and everyone of you in my thoughts and prayers and please know I am here for you. Just know with all the struggles there will be no more and Michael is looking down smiling. I know he will watch down on each of you and makes sure you are taken care of. RIP in my friend Michael. You will be missed greatly!!!!!!!!!!

I can remember the day we were invited to Michael's Baptism at Grace, what excitement there was and comfort knowing Michael was starting a new life and would always be with God as he accepted Jesus Christ as His Lord and Savior, ready to walk a new life and looking forward to life with Christ. Now the reunion has taken place and Michael is where all of us look forward to. I know each of your hearts are broken, God will handle that over time. This entire family, Ragan and the children, James, Tracey, sisters, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and friends are heart broken, yet God was ready for Michael to come home. God has had this planned before Michael's birth.
We will all truly miss him and pray for the family for the many years ahead.
All we can do is love one another and pray for God's will in each of our lives.
I know he will be missed by each of you so close to him. Comfort and Strength in the days ahead. Love all of you!!! Terri & Robert Long (Helen & Herman's daughter and husband)

You will be missed my friend! 20 plus years of friendship. So many good memories. Cruising around in that old red Beretta back in the day. Concerts at Lakewood. Laser light shows at the fox. Or how about all the 5 AM workouts and power lifting competitions. The day you and Ragan were married. And that is just the short list. There are to many to list.

My thoughts and prayers go out to your family. You were a great friend . So I know they have suffered a tremendous loss.

Dear James and Tracy, and all the Family and Ragan, and children, we thank God for his promise that He will never leave us nor forsake us. My prayer for each of you today is that even in the mist of feeling so alone, God would reveal Himself to each of you. I pray He would fill your hearts with comfort and your mind with peace so you can rest in Him.
I Pray for the protection of each of you and your family so that bitterness and Satan's plans to harm any of you will fail miserably. May God take your loss and your pain and use it for good, for so He promises to do for those who love him.
Praise be to the Lord, to God our Savior, who daily bears our burdens.
Psalm 68:19
The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. Psalms 34:18
Remember you are all loved much by our Heavenly father and by us and so
many. We love you and will be praying for you all.
